Abstract

The species composition, complex of dominants, quantitative characteristics, and seasonal changes in zooplankton community of the Rybinsk Reservoir were studied in June − October 2009. During the studied period, the total numbers of zooplankton accounted for 125.4 thousand specimens/m3, whereas its biomass - 0.8 g/m3. Zooplankton was characterized by one peak of its numbers and by three peaks of its biomass. Rotifera prevailed in terms of their numbers, whereas Crustacea - in terms of their biomass.
