Abstract
In this paper we mainly study sporadic groups in terms of p-local rank, especially the 2-local ranks of some sporadic groups (Conway simple group Co1, Janko simple group J4, Fisher simple groups, the Baby Monster 𝔹 and the Monster 𝕄) will be given which complete the problem of determining the p-local ranks of all sporadic simple groups for all primes p.
