Research on current situation and improvements of the integration of passenger transportation in urban and rural areas

China is in a critical period to coordinate the urban and rural development and to reduce the urban-rural differences. In this process, urban and rural passenger transportation plays an important role in achieving the integration. Based on the analysis of the mechanism and content for integration of passenger transportation in urban and rural areas, analyzes the status of urban and rural passenger transportation, summarizes the differences in the development of urban and rural passenger transportation from facilities, economy (fare) and ride quality of passenger services. Analyzes the difference of urban and rural passenger transportation by using the equal theory, and then reach some revelations to realize its integrated developmen. According to the differences of passenger transportation, proposes some policies and measures to achieve the integrated development of rural and urban passenger transportation.
