Abstract
Acute toxicity of Cr6+ , Cu2+ and Cd2+to Daphnia magna, Biomphalaria glabrata and Brachydanio rerio was evaluated. Copper resulted the most toxic element to the three animals and D. magna the most sensitive organism. The wide spectrum of the responses obtained was examined to permit the development of hypothesis about the environmental effects of the tested metals.
