Abstract

In Christians' engagement of God's complex world, it is not enough to claim good intentions. Christians who are passionate about religious freedom must also employ strategic common sense in acting on those intentions. The causes and consequences of religious persecution operate at many levels, and so must those who fight religious persecution. Oppressive governments must be made to understand that religious persecution is not only immoral but against their national interests.
