Abstract
Given a finite group G and a subgroup K of index 1 or 2, a method is developed for finding all the finite groups ? (up to equivalence) such that any semiunitary projective representation of G can be lifted to a semiunitary representation of ?. The method is used in simple but interesting groups in physics.
