Abstract

Approximate expressions are presented and numerical values provided which enable the frictional force on the reference sphere to be computed for the case when two equally sized spheres situated along the axis of an infinitely long circular cylinder slowly rotate with equal and opposite angular velocities about axes perpendicular to their line of centres in a viscous fluid.
