Abstract

Juralibellula ningchengensis gen. nov., sp. nov., type species of the new family Juralibellulidae, is the oldest record of the clade Cavilabiata. As sister group of the Neobrachystigmata in the new clade Paraneobracbystigmata, it demonstrates the presence of this relatively much derived subclade in the Middle Jurassic, suggesting a great antiquity for the Cavilabiata.
