Abstract
Summary The reliability and validity of Likert's Profile of Organizational Characteristics were examined with a convenience sample of 436 students of business administration who had jobs. The results showed that the scales of the instrument are not factorially independent, the criterion-related validity of the scales and discriminant validity of the items are questionable, and 11 of its 49 items are not free from social desirability bias.
