Abstract
In this paper, sliding mode control (SMC), Dynamic sliding mode control and Adaptive PID with sliding mode control technique are used to control the speed of DC motor. The performances of the designed controllers are evaluated via MATLAB simulations using linear model of the DC motor with known disturbance. The chattering problem in SMC is avoided by using dynamic sliding mode controller and the performance of the SMC is improved by using an adaptive PID with sliding mode controller.
