Abstract
Two diploid interspecific Colllisia hybrids with interchange complexes, one with a complex of four chromosomes and the other with one of six, yielded spontaneous amphidiploids with a maximum number of two quadrivalents; two spontaneous interspecific triploids had a maximum number of two trivalents Chromosome associations in the amphidiploids and in the triploid hybrids were explained by assuming a preferential pairing of structurally identical homologs.
