Abstract

Eggs from laboratory-spawned red drums (Sciaenops ocellatus) were hatched, and larvae were reared to maturity in captivity. Twenty of the largest fish were selected for spawning studies. They began spawning 19.5 months after hatch. Details of temperature and photoperiod are presented.
