Analysis of Characteristics of Urban Atmospheric Pollution in Jinan City

Based on the quality data from 2001 to 2008 of the atmospheric environment, status of atmospheric pollution of Jinan City were analyzed, the key factors were discussed, and suggestions were offered. The conclusion showed obvious seasonal characteristics with the most serious pollution in winter, spring, and summer next. In recent years, the atmospheric environmental quality has been improving on the whole. The atmospheric pollution was affected by human activities, the special geographical location, and weather conditions. Heating in winter and sandstorm weathers in spring were the main causes of air pollution increase.
