Abstract
For the modal analysis of un-transposed transmission lines, the traditional standard transformations fail. We propose a novel transformation matrix based on the Karrenbauer transformation matrix to simplify the calculation. This paper shows how to derive this corrected novel transformation matrix from the Karrenbauer transformation matrix by using some mathematical theories. In addition to the theoretical aspects discussed, some examples are presented for illustrative purposes.
