Abstract

In this paper, lower polyethylene(LDPE) was melt to graft maleie anhydride (MAH) in reactive extruder by using dicumyl peroxide(DCP) and benzoyl peroxide(BPO) as the initiator. It can be found that MAH has been grafted to LDPE large molecular chain using by infrared spectrum and graft rate measurement. Orthogonal experiments were employed to confirm the influences of initiator, MAH and LDPE. The results showed that the reaction graft ratio firstly increased, then began to decrease with the increasing of the contents of MAH and initiator. The maximum shear strength was at 2.12MPa when graft polymer was used to adhesive the board of aluminum and polyethylene. The graft rate of graft polymer was at 15.68%.
