Abstract

The Labour Government has set out its aims for health care in its White Paper The New NHS: Modern, Dependable. This will have a profound impact on all therapy staff and influence how they work and the services they provide. This paper aims to summarize the main changes in the White Paper and to raise discussion of these changes within the therapy professions. Future service delivery and professional development is dependent on a successful and skillful response to the White Paper.
