Abstract

This chapter outlines elements of effective communication and explores some of the challenges associated with the communication of information to support climate change adaptation. Australia's National Climate Change Adaptation Research Facility (NCCARF) is used as an example of one approach towards improving the communication of climate change adaptation information at a national level. A number of other climate change adaptation communication case studies and initiatives, mainly from Australia and New Zealand, have also been referred to in this chapter.
