Abstract

ABSTRACT A 16 W two‐stage unbalanced Doherty amplifier with high efficiency is proposed for the long‐term evolution test signal. The proposed amplifier by using the gate bias control of the drive and final peaking amplifier demonstrated a 43% power added efficiency with an adjacent channel leakage ratio of −37 dBc at 7.3 dB output power back‐off. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
