Resonant frequencies of whispering-gallery dielectric resonator modes

Abstract

Whispering-gallery dielectric resonator modes have shown their usefulness in millimetre wave integrated circuits. In the paper, a method for the determination of the resonant frequencies of the whispering-gallery modes of cylindrical dielectric resonators is presented. Theoretical and experimental results are given. A comparison with other methods is also made.
