Abstract
Traditional kinematic methods of the Earth's crust investigations give ambiguous results because of similar or identical seismic waves velocities for certain groups of rocks. For their separation additional criteria are necessary. We examine the possibility of using attenuation factors based on dynamic characteristics of recordings in studies of horizontal inhomogeneities.
