Abstract
Effects of atmospheric extension are studied for the population II F giant HD 116745 |$(T_\text{eff} = 6550[ \pm 150 ] K, \,\text{log} \,g = 1.0 [ \pm 0.3 ], M/M_{\odot} = 0.37 [ + 0.37, - 0.18]).$| The stellar atmosphere is compact |$(M/M_{\odot} = 0.74)$| to moderately extended |$(M/M_{\odot} = 0.19)$| and the approximation of plane-parallel stratification may be inadequate to interpret high-accuracy observations of this star or other stars with similar stellar parameters. Simple curve-of-growth analyses are hardly affected.
