Abstract
Transportation modes choice in multimodal transportation directly influences the cost of carriage of goods, time and quality of transport. Aiming at the status that multimodal transport informatization level is not high and lacks corresponding decision support system at present.the transport properties of various transportation means are analyzed, and then by contrast, get the transport mode choice basis. Depending on the technical and economic characteristics of different transport tools, for staging transportation networks, puts forward a combinatorial optimization model combined by the path selection and transport mode.By constructing a virtual transportation network, the original problem is converted to a shortest path problem with time constraint and ability constraints. First optimize the network, and then design appropriate genetic algorithm to solve it. An Example to this problem indicates that the optimization model and algorithm can greatly reduce the network complexity, and so this method is feasible and effective.
