The disappearance of Supracide, a new organophosphorus insecticide, was studied in hay, ensilage, and rumen contents (both in vivo and in vitro).A logarithmic rate of degradation occurred in silage and hay for 200 and 120 days, respectively.A linear increase in formation of aqueoussoluble products from ltC-labeled Supracide incubated with rumen contents was shown.Disappearance of Supracide from the intact rumen was logarithmic and was reduced to very low levels within two hours after administration.
