Abstract
1. Obstruction in the newborn infant due to annular pancreas occurs in the descending portion of the duodenum and is usually a partial obstruction. 2. Other anomalies are frequently present in association with annular pancreas. Intestinal malrotation and mongolism were the most frequent major anomalies found. Although midgut volvulus and duodenal atresia are more frequent causes of duodenal obstruction in association with malrotation and mongolism, respectively, annular pancreas must also be considered.
