Abstract
Train formation was brought into the train plan of urban rail transit, then the train formation length, train operational period, and its train count can be optimized together. On the basis of analyzing the passenger flow general travel cost and considering the transport capacity, the requirements of traffic organization, corporation benefits, and passenger traffic demand reasonably, the constraint conditions and objective functions were given. The multi-objective optimization model for train plan of urban rail transit was presented. According to the characteristics of the model and practical experience about train plan, the three-phase solution method was designed. The instance of Changsha metro line 2 shows that the method can solve a good result with high efficiency.
