Abstract

A new Annonaceous acetogenin, robustocin, was isolated from the seeds of Annona muricata (Annonaceae). Its structure was deduced by NMR and mass spectrometric methods. Absolute configurations were determined by the Mosher's ester methodology. This compound is the first bis-THF acetogenin with only one hydroxyl group.
