Abstract

The application of the two diversity indices (Shannon's index of diversity and Margalef s index of diversity) has been critically analysed for water pollution monitoring in the tropical polluted river Khan. These two indices can be usefully employed for the biological assessment of water quality in tropical polluted rivers.
