This paper describes the laminar-turbulent transition in the radial flow of a free liquid film. The liquid film flow was generated in the same way as in the previous report. The transition mechanism was observed using a stroboscope. A sequence of experiments revealed the existence of a critical Reynolds number. The stability diagrams for various velocity profiles of the free liquid film flow obtained in the previous report were calculated by solving the O-S equation numerically. The phenomena of the laminar-turbulent transition were investigated by using the stability diagrams.
