MEASURED TENSION METHOD FOR SURGERY OF THE CLAW HAND

Abstract

Ulnar Median Claw following trauma or Hansen’s disease is a fairly common problem in developing countries. The methods for correction of this deformity use a relatively arbitrary method for estimation and application of tension to the transferred tendon. The present paper outlines an objective and simple method of judging the tension required in these transferred tendon slips.
