Abstract

Abstract Cardiac amyloidosis cannot always be differentiated from constrictive pericarditis even after careful review of the clinical, laboratory, and hemodynamic data prior to pericardial exploration. This case report underscores the necessity of precise histologic examination for cardiac amyloidosis in all suspected cases of constrictive pericarditis at the time of pericardiectomy.
