Abstract
Vacuum field equations for the static spherically symmetric conformally flat metric are obtained in a scalar-tensor theory of gravitation proposed by Ross. It is observed that unlike in Brans–Dicke scalar-tensor theory the only spherically symmetric static conformally flat vacuum solution in this theory is simply the empty flat space–time of Einstein’s theory.
