Abstract
Coherent excitation of channeled ions is shown to result in the emission of bound electrons of the projectile for large enough transition energies. The energy carried by the emitted electrons is well determined, like in the case of resonant-coherent excitation, while momentum conservation leads to preferential directions of emission. The angular dependence of coherently-lost electrons is analyzed.
