Differences in anthropometric characteristics and motor abilities between boys and girls age 7: Meta-analysis

The aim of this study (meta-analysis) was to review a larger number of research and determine the differences in anthropometric characteristics and motor abilities between boys and girls aged 7 in the Republic of Serbia. The size effect (effect size, r) was calculated for each research. The analysis included (3780) subjects (1872 boys and 1908 girls) from 6 studies. The overall size effect was 0.13 and it falls in the category of low impact. Moderator variables consist of anthropometric characteristics (Height and Weight) and motor (Standing broad jump and Bent-arm hang). The results showed that in most studies there were statistically significant differences in anthropometric characteristics and motor abilities of children aged 7.
