Five artotrogid Copepods (Siphonostomatoida) from Southern Australia

Abstract

Artotrogus sardae, sp. nov. and A. haikungae, sp. nov. are described from Bass Strait, and comments are presented on another Australian species, A. latifurcatus Nicholls, 1944. Glyptotrogus tangaroae, gen. nov., sp. nov. from Southern Australia, and the hitherto unknown female of Tardotrogus challengeri Eiselt, 1961 are described. All these taxa possess prominent arrays of integumental organs, some of which are of a new type.
