Abstract
RMB appreciation has given a strong impact on the Chinese domestic society. Since the reform of exchange rate in 2005 RMB accumulative appreciation against US dollar has reached 27%, and its acceleration has been obvious in recent years. This gives the Chinese economy some positive and negative impact as well. The people are even much puzzled as CPI is going up during the process of RMB appreciation. The shadow of inflation can be seen often. This arouses the attention of many people in the society.
