Abstract
We discussed the problem of synchronization of two slightly different chaotic systems and address the problem of the effect of parameter differences on the synchronization. The concept of practical synchronization which is equivalent to the consideration of a tolerance in the synchronization condition was introduced. We showed that small differences of system parameters can significantly destroy the synchronization regime of linearly coupled chaotic systems.
