Abstract

Environmental Tobacco Smoke (ETS) exposure is a major health problem over the world. There are growing proofs supporting a relationship between environmental tobacco smoke exposure and development of asthma in childhood and even in adulthood. On the other hand, passive smoking is \nrelated to worsening of asthma symptoms, increase of exacerbations, therapy use and also worsening in pulmonary function tests and bronchial hyperresponsiveness. These results reveal the importance of avoid from passive \nsmoking both in healthy individuals and asthmatic patients for the prevention or control of the asthma.
