Abstract

As the multipath propagation delay in troposcatter is the key factor to work upon the communication quality, It is of the utmost importance to build the multipath delay power spectrum model and estimate the multipath delay spread for design and performance analysis of system. Complicated in scatter channel, no universal way to estimate the multipath delay has been found especially in short-range scatter. In this paper, we measure the actual path and integrate with the theoretical analysis to propose three delay power spectrum models preferable for the estimation of the channel parameters in troposcatter.
