Empirical research on the contribution of advanced education to economic growth velocity of Jiangsu province

Abstract

This paper analyses the importance of talent in the knowledge-explosion age and sets up the human capital external growth model of Jiangsu province basing on Cobb-Douglas function and the model of Lucas' human capital, overflow and calculates the contribution of advanced education to economic growth velocity of Jiangsu province in 1997–2006 by eviews. The result is 0.15945. It is obvious that increasing the input of advanced education is a key point to realize a sustainable economic development in Jiangsu province
