Abstract

In the present work, the ability of extending the measured velocity and turbulence field to predict the residence time distribution is explored. The model predictions have been compared with experimental measurements of residence time distribution. The predicted residence time distributions have been explained on the basis of the mixing behavior within the stirred reactor. The effect of operating parameters has been studied.
