Abstract
A new phenomenological coupling constant in the pion-pion interaction is introduced through an interaction Lagrangian of the form L int = λ 1 (ϕ×ϕ ,μ )·(ϕ×ϕ ,μ ). It is found that this type of interaction leads to a P-wave pion-pion resonance when summation is made over the `chain-diagrams'. The width of the resonance is adjusted by a cut-off and λ 1 is determined by the position of the resonance and the cut-off.
