Abstract

Mostly the technique of resistance heating is used for the heat treatment of aluminum alloy casting. The resistance heating consumes more electrical power. So we have proposed a method to deal with the aluminum alloy casting, using induction heating (IH) capable of rapid heating. The expectation for the system is to be applied to industry. Therefore, the system used in factories actually, is required to have equivalent temperature rise, which to the same resistance heating furnace. Because of elucidating the differences with resistance heating furnace can be proved that it has the performance or more. We clarify and problems of the induction heating method described in previous studies, we propose a system of the heating method as an improvement to the current system. As the results of the comparison and consideration of conventional method and the proposed method, we clarified that the proposed method is superior. We report a study about the system of induction heating type indirect heating furnace.
