Abstract

Chlorpyrifos treatment to Heteropneustes fossilis produced hypertrophy of nuclei and occurrence of exhausted cells in the liver at 48 h. After 72 h of treatment, vacuolar degeneration is observed. Following 96 h of exposure, rupture of cell walls and vacuolization were noticed.
