John Jung

Open publisher page 83 citations

Abstract

Three aspects of social support: amount received, amount given, and reciprocity were examined in relationship coping with stress. Reciprocity with family, defined in two different ways, was found to have a stronger relationship with reduced symptoms than the amount of social support that was either received or provided. Conceptual and measurements issues were involved with the concept of reciprocity are discussed.
