Abstract

This report presents a comparison between spirit and trigonometric levelling methods used to provide altimetric control in seismic areas. In particular we examine a method used for estimating local anomalies of the vertical's deflection and their influence on the estimate of the height differences measured by trigonometric techniques. The application of this method to the results of various surveys made in the Ancona geodetic network is presented.
