Abstract
Rotation velocities of stars and gas in galaxies have been studied over the past 80 years. Only during the past two decades have we discovered the vast kinematic complexity that is displayed by stars and gas in some elliptical, S0, and spiral galaxies. Many of these galaxies contain central cores with rotation axes skew or antiparallel to the rotation axes of the disks; skew and counterrotating outer gas disks are also known. I discuss some of these multi-spin galaxies, and their likely formation as merger products.
