Abstract

This talk will give an overview of emerging trends in the architecture of FPGAs. The topics to be covered will include new FPGA architectures and upcoming research topics, the growth in FPGAs with embedded tranceivers, the segmentation of FPGA architectures into mainstream and low-cost families, the relationships between FPGAs and structured ASICs, and applications and trends in CPLDs.
