Abstract

This study presents data which indicate that the activities of the glucagon and epinephrine responsive components of hepatic adenyl cyclase vary separately as a function of age, sex and steroid hormone levels in the rat. These observations lend support to the hypothesis that the 2 hormonally sensitive adenyl cyclase systems in liver are independent. (Endocrinology86: 154, 1970)
