Abstract

The essential oil of Mentha arvensis L. var. piperascens Malinv. growing in Cuba has been analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Twenty-one compounds were identified, of which menthol (51.68%), menthone (26.08%) and menthyl acetate (10.55%) were the major constituents.
