Abstract

Two species of the cleptoparasitic bee genus Sphecodes (Halictinae: Halictini) are documented as occurring on the island of Cuba. Both species belong to the subgenus Austrosphecodes and are new to Science. The species are described as Sphecodes (Austro- sphecodes) genaroi, sp. nov., and S. (A.) tainoi, sp. nov. A key to separate the species of Sphecodes from Cuba is provided.
